Students from the British University of Salford visit the port of Almería

A group of 14 students – from Nigeria, India, China and Romania – and four professors from the University of Salford (Manchester, England), visited this Wednesday several facilities located in the port of Almeria. The students – students of a Master’s degree in International Trade – have learned how the Fish Market and the Border Offices – where controls are carried out on merchandise from non-EU countries, by the different Border Inspection Services. several ministries of the Spanish Government. They have also known the operation of the Passenger Terminal.
This is an activity that has been carried out for years by the British university -the previous one took place last March-, invited by the Port Authority of Almeria, an activity highly valued by teachers and students in the face of training future professionals in the operation of commerce and logistics of sectors such as those operating in the aforementioned port facilities.
The students, in addition to the notions that they have received from the parties responsible for the PIF and the Fish Market, have also shown cultural interest in the ore loading of El Cable Inglés.
The University of Salford is a centennial institution, dynamic and cosmopolitan, which among other teachings, offers a recognized master’s degree in Business and International Commerce.
For its part, the Port Authority of Almeria offers the possibility of conducting guided tours of its own facilities and other institutions located in the Port, activities that are responsible for the Bahia Almeriport Foundation and are open to different groups of citizens
